This is truely a mystery piece.
Featuring a genuine Jolly Golly Golfer ( c1928-30s). It's either a genuine issued piece or someone very skilled put the piece together years back. The wear on the golly & The lid are consistent & the grime behind the golly shows years of cleaning. So they've been together a long time
The way it's attatched to the lid is very precise & Skilled. There is a stamped area of recess to accept the lug (suggesting manufacturing) In my opinion this features a genuine golly piece (possibly) made as a gift - a replacement lid - by a skilled metal worker. Folk art possibly - Let me know if you have any opinions
